Recruiting, training, deploying and supporting volunteers
We are pleased to announce that we have now started our new venture in Chippenham. We have enrolled a wonderful group of volunteers who will be working with us to bring joy and happiness to older people in care homes in the town.
Keep an eye on our website as we hope to announce a new area we will be working in later this year.
Read about us in the February edition of Wiltshire Life.
As well as new volunteers, we always appreciate other help with our work, including donations, professional help and local assistance with publicity and support. If you think you might be able to help us in this way, please contact Norman, our Chair, on 07740 285289 or email him at firstname.lastname@example.org
In Salisbury (our first centre), our volunteers continue their work with local care homes. They are keen to improve their understanding of the needs of residents in care homes, and the potential for improving their lives. They regularly meet together with our volunteer coordinator. We will shortly be providing further dementia training for them.
We always welcome new volunteers in these areas. If you think this might be for you, contact Amanda, our volunteer coordinator, on 07931 022824 or email her at email@example.com
